Head of IT Systems and Platforms
Key role purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a strong insurance background and a number of years’ experience to join a growing company. As Head of IT Systems and Platforms you will be responsible for ensuring the systems and platforms used by the company are fit for purpose, managed effectively and support Armour’s growth plans. This includes a requirement to identify and implement improvements, contribute to decision making and help maximise profitability.
This role will have a strong focus on communicating and bringing together views from across the group, as well as driving change and progression.
Key tasks and objectives:
1.Take responsibility for proposing, procurement, delivery and continual development of IT systems across the group.
2.Work closely with IT, Claims, Finance, Actuarial and management functions to monitor and deliver change activities.
3.Assess, review and deliver a roadmap for the claims administration systems, working with key stakeholders to provide scalable, secure and efficient systems that meet the Groups requirements.
4.Take ownership of the change management process, improvements to current systems and business architecture.
5.Leading monitoring and managing the business change across the portfolio of IT projects.
6.As a senior member of the IT department work closely with the Head of IT Infrastructure and the Head of IT Integration and Migration to deliver an efficient and well-functioning department that supports Armour globally.
Key technical skills, knowledge, professional qualifications required:
1.A strong IT technical background is essential for this role, as well as a good awareness of the industry IT landscape and best practices.
2.Insurance sector experience is essential.
3.Experience of insurance claims management systems and strong knowledge of the underlying architecture and database technologies used to support these.
4.Excellent written communication skills, including report and presentation writing.
5.Strong ability in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

2.Exceptional communicator both verbally and in writing with ability to engage and present to senior management and key stakeholders.
3.Self-motivated, keen to learn and take on new tasks as requested.
4.Commitment to continuous improvements; willing to proactively improve processes.
5.A second European language would be an advantage.
1.Travel to other offices or locations may be required.
2.Some unsocial hours maybe required during busy periods.
